Ce DVD réunit pour la première fois 9 films réalisés entre 1969 et 1972 par David Lamelas, (né en 1946 à Buenos Aires), figure pionnière du cinéma conceptuel des années 70. Cet artiste majeur qui a introduit le temps réel de l’information avec « Office of Information About the Vietnam War » à la biennale de Venise en 1968, a aussi employé le premier, le régime de production du cinéma dans l’espace d’exposition au Camden Arts Centre de Londres en 1969, avec le film de référence, « A Study of Relationship Between Inner and Outer Space ». Ce DVD contient également un livret en français, en espagnol et en anglais avec des notices sur chaque films afin de les replacer en rapport aux expositions originales. Un entretient avec l’artiste réalisé à Paris, à l’occasion de son exposition au Centre d’art contemporain de Brétigny, resitue ce travail majeur dans l’histoire contemporaine de l’image et démontre qu’il anticipe dès les années 70 une critique de la société de l’information pourtant encore naissante à cette époque. This DVD features for the first time 9 films produced between 1969 and 1972 by Davis Lamelas, (1946, Buenos Aires), a pioneer of 70’s conceptual cinema. This major artist introduced the notion of real time information through his piece at the 1968 Venice Biennial entitled « Office of Information About the Vietnam War »; whilst the reference film « A Study of Relationship Between Inner and Outer Space » produced at Camden Arts Center London in 1969 explored the organisation of cinematic production within the exhibition space. This DVD offers also a booklet in French, Spanish and English with notes on every film and an interview with David Lamelas. The DVD offers an opportunity to consider the contribution of Lamelas' major body of film and video work, both in relation to contemporary visual culture and as an incisive analysis of the information age.
